Re Barbara Harvey's query about errors in the new field guide:

One that I noticed in a very quick look at Morcombe appears on p. 315, dealing with the currawongs. The notes on the Black Currawong indicate that  race melanoptera of the Grey Currawong has black undertail coverts. Further down the page the notes on the Grey Currawong state, correctly, that  the undertail coverts on melanoptera are white. It 's not an error which will cause misidentifications in the field, since melanoptera does not occur in Tasmania, to which the Black Currawong is confined. Still - accuracy  matters.
