On one occasion, I too thought I saw a Black W-w F-w but a minute later from a different angle, it was blue.
I think there has been previous discussion in Birding-Aus re this subject.
If not I have read about some positive sightings in 1 or 2 journals

ps The territory of the W-w F-w has moved Nth by about 50kms here in the Isa the last 20 years.
