Regarding Jill's [and David's] comments on 'Bowra" outside of Cunnanulla;
for some time I have been thinking of putting together a small directory of
birder friendly properties across Queensland. Nothing flash, just a word
document giving the basic details (location, accommodation, access 4WD
etc). I could also produce a map in ArcView Geographic Information Systems
software, or scan in mud maps as jpegs.
This could be useful for both Australian and overseas birders. Off the top
of my head I can think of:

"Bowra" (Cunnanulla)
Ironbark Inn (Barcaldine - run by the previous owners of North Delta
Station); "Swanlea" (Aramac)
"West Leichardt Station" (Mt Isa)
"Escott Lodge" (Burketown)
"Langlo Lakes" (Gilbert River out of Georgetown)

Then of course there's "Kingfisher Park (Julatten) and O'Reilly's
(Lamington NP)

Does anyone have any others to add? Also, if such a directory exists could
someone put me onto it?

Please reply to me personally so we don't clog up the system

Cheers
