Was fortunate to have observed Glossy Black Cockatoo's in 2 seperate locations, 2 days in a row whilst out and about Saturday and Sunday 19th and 20th August. Atleast one (possibly a male) was observed at Pearl Beach (just a little south of Gosford and the first time I have been there) being disturbed by other birds, and a family of 3 (adult male, female and juv.) near Flint and Steel beach at Ku-ring-gai Chase NP yesterday around midday whilst bushwalking for a couple of hours with a few relatives of mine. Before both sightings, the Glossies were detected by hearing them quietly eating the Casuarina seeds (what one could easily miss by just walking past them). Both locations would be quite reliable spots for them as there is a fair amount of Casuarina for them.

Some other highlights myself and David Walker had around Gosford (in the NSW central coast) were:

- Regent Bowerbirds at Milina Rd. Erina (an adult male and atleast 2 females - always easy to see around winter here)
- White-headed Pigeons (atleast 12 feeding on Camphor Laurel)
- Scarlet Honeyeaters (many heard at Katandra Reserve)
- Rose Robin (a nice male bathing in a small rainforest pool at Katandra Res, near Erina)
- Bassian Thrush (atleast 2 at Katandra Reserve)
- Grey Goshawk (great views of an adult feeding on a dead rabbit right beside Dog Trap Rd in Ourimbah)
- Mangrove Herons (2 seen, one at Tuggerah Lakes and another at St Huberts Island)
- White-bellied Sea-eagle (Imm. at Tuggerah Lakes)
- Rock Warblers (two at Pearl Beach)
- Striped Honeyeaters (present at Chittaway Pt beside Tuggerah Lake)

At Flint at Steel Beach heard Fairy Penguins close to the rocks.
