Maybe BOCA's conservation arm Australian Bird Environment Foundation  (ABEF ) would be an appropriate body ?

 

My Aug 1997 copy of The Bird Observer lists a number of similiar projects.

They also have a leaflet  "How to restore and manage bushland on a suburban block"

 

Perhaps BOCA could email you a copy
