Myself and Sharon Taylor had an enjoyable afternoon at Mitchell Park. It was a brilliant warm afternoon for this time of year with temperatures in the hight teens and with much bird activity indicating that Spring is not too far

Unfortunately, I could not find Sharon her Powerfull Owls but 3 Painted Button-quail were flushed from the usual area on the ridge along the Rainforest Trail (just before the Old Man Banksia trail). We also had Fan-tailed Cuckoo, Rose Robins, a good variety of Honeyeaters, Olive-backed Orioles, Dusky Woodswallows, Satin Bowerbirds etc.

Only a month to Spring!! Any early Spring Arrivals yet? (Martins or Lathams Snipe!)
