Apologies to all who were confused by my reference to a 180cm
high "Rikki Rakali".

The Council has actually commissioned a costume of a rakali
(alias water rat/hydromys chrysogaster) so that Rikki can appear
at community events to promote an interest in wildlife, avoiding
pollution of the bay etc.

Incidentally, following a query I checked the boobooks, using
Pizzey and Knight, and I reckon both are the south-eastern
mainland sub-species (boobook), one of them being an immature.
