I am sorry but I don't see where the "common thread" comment is obtained. I
only mentioned Word macro viruses. Word documents can be attached to
e-mails produces on ALL programs. Numerous viruses can effect all e-mail
programs.
Microsoft Outlook has been susceptible to "hackers" as it is the most
commonly used business program. There are updates available free from
Microsoft that correct the problem as they occur. It is the same as with
virus protection. Update regularly. Most non-business users use Outlook
Express which is a different program and is also FREE to download. It does
not have quite the same problems as Outlook but can be open to problems if
the latest patches are not downloaded.
Why are programs constantly updated? Because problems which occur are taken
care of in later editions. John, what version of Eudora are you using?
Don't bother to answer, but I am sure it is not version 1.0.
The adage remains, "Update regularly or take the consequences."
