Hi b/ausers,
The Sydney Morning Herald on page
2 today reports alleged aerial spraying
of a area of Coolibah-Belah woodland
10 by 3 kilometres at Morree and the
possibility that up to 80 square kilometres
has already been cleared it appears illegaly.
There have been 360 reported breaches
of the act with no succesful prosecution
to date. NSW as the second worst land
clearing record in the nation after you
beut Queensland. Bob Carr as promised
the farmers he will review land clearing
exemptions speed up vegitation planning
and allow farmers to clear areas providing
they revegitate other parts of there land.
Approvals for landclearing applications
are running at 95 % according to the
Herald, so he can only improve it by 5%.
For those of you who want to save our woodland
birds I suggest you make a concentrated effort
tomorrow and let B Carr Know exactly how we feel.
DONT PUT IT OFF MAIL HIM FAX HIM PHONE HIM
