Sorry if this has already been pointed out, but Macs so far only implement Java 1.2 - if the atlas page uses Java 2 then it's likely that ANY browser running under Mac OS will have problems. I don't know if the new Mac OS X fixes this or not. Most people are still deciding whether or not to upgrade to OS 9, and this doesn't do Java 2, sadly. Of course the easy way around this on a Mac is to use Virtual PC and run a browser (and hence Java2) on the Windows 'side'. Yet another reason to buy the right kind of computer ... oops, I don't want to start another non-birding thread...
