Hi everybody -

John Cooper, Coordinator of the Birdlife International Seabird Conservation
Program, will be visiting the Birds Australia National Office (address and
contact details below), on Monday July 17th and Tuesday July 18th, 2000.

John will give a talk about seabird conservation and show slides on Monday
at 1pm, followed by a meeting between 2pm and 5pm. The meeting will
discuss regional seabird issues, news from the latest CCAMLR meeting in
Hobart, and priority conservation actions for agencies, NGOs and other
interest groups.

You would be most welcome to attend the talk at Birds Australia
on Monday. The following meeting will be more specialised and numbers
attending will be limited by available space to those who wish to brief
John on some aspect of seabird conservation in Australia. If you would
like to attend either or both, please get in touch with Mick Fendley, BA
Conservation Coordinator, email:

If the times given for the talk and meeting are not suitable for you, and
you need to talk to John, you may be able to make an appointment for the
Monday or the Tuesday morning. Again, please get in touch with Mick.

Cheers,
Hugo
