g'Day All,

This a confession of a sin.

I also have been guilty of marking the wrong bird on my Atlas Forms which in turn were queried by Rory Poulter at BA.
(I presumed that BA have a computer check that compares new records for a 1 degree block against the "old" Atlas)
e.g. Noisy Miner instead of Yellow-throated M
        Pied Currawong for Pied Butcherbird
        Red-browed Treecreeper for Black-tailed T/c

Marion Crouther, my regional organiser has also picked up a couple more Atlas Form entry boo-boo's before they got to BA.

After reading all the earlier correspondence on Birding-Aus re identification of Forest Kingfishers, I asked Rory to delete a record of mine.  It 'coulda'  been, as it was different to a definite Sacred K/if nearby....but I cannot remember noting the white wing patches in flight.

These errors have knocked my ego (and perhaps credibility) down a notch or two.

Now that the records are available on the web, we (with PC's and Mac's) can check our specialist 1 deg blocks, and highlight any possible anomalies that may have slipped through.

I wish to publicly thank all the people who are involved sorting and checking the heaps of info that is flooding in.

Regards,
Bob Forsyth
Mount Isa, NW Qld.
