I have not seen a report for this or the Sydney trip so here goes.
On board about 8 for a banding trip. A bit of a swell well out but
generally pretty good for watching. Out to about 22 NM, just over the
shelf in trawler alley but no trawlers. Banded quite a few Y-n A and a
Shy A and a B-b A plus a F Prion

Black-browed Albatross 30
Campbell island sub species ? 10
Shy Albatross 10
Yellow-nosed Albatross 50
Buller's Albatross 1 passing view only
Giant Petrel Sp 1
Great-winged Petrel 1
Solander's Petrel 30 suddenly appeared
well out then
Fairy Prion 50
Wilson's Storm-petrel 2
Fluttering Shearwater 1
Hutton's Shearwater 3
Aus. Gannet 20
Anarctic Skua 1
Silver Gull 50
Crested Tern 20
White-fronted Tern 1
large school/pod of Common Dolphin fishing, a great sight leaping about.
