Hi John,

        We humans continue to procreate, thus ensuring that there are always
new minds to hear old tales for the first time.  You may, or may not, have
use for two pieces of doggerel from that well-known poet and philosopher,
ANON.

The elephant is a funny bird;
    it flits from bough to bough.
It builds its' nest in a rhubarb-tree,
    and whistles like a cow.

The common cormorant or shag,
    lays its' eggs in a paper-bag.
But what these unobservant birds
    fail to realise, is
that herds of bears with buns,
    will steal the bags
to hold the crumbs.
