Dear All,

Friends of ours with a developing interest in birding leave in a few weeks'  for a family camping holiday through Central Australia, departing Melbourne and heading for Darwin via Adelaide and the Stuart Highway.  They have collected information along most of their route, but have bombed out as far as good birding opportunities in the Alice Springs and West MacDonnell Ranges areas.  I have searched the birding-aus archive for those areas, and will pass on the most useful material I find there, but if anyone has any specific suggestions of places worth covering or good birding spots at accessible locations (they have a Magna, not a 4WD), please let me know and I will pass it on.

Thanks very much.

Regards,

    Jack
