Greeting from the sunny spring Denmark.

The last week there had from the island Amager - near
Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark - been several
observations of a mismatched pair of birds :

A Kestrel ( Falco tinnunculus ) and a feral Orange-winged
Amazon parrot ( Amazona amazonica ) had made a join
venture ...!

Especially in the early morning and the late afternoon these
two birds had been observed.

The amazon parrot has the typical Orange-winged Amazon
Parrot sound, which it call when it side by side with the Kestrel
fly very fast.

I had observed as well as heard this odd pair of birds ... !
A very unique experience.

The Orange-winged Amazon Parrot is exptected to be the bird,
which for more than three years had been feral on Amager, and
which recently had been observed in a nest together with a Kestrel.

I think it is the first ever a parrot had been matched with a Bird
of Prey ... !?!

But mayby some of you have similar obsersvations ... ?

Best wishes, Peter
