G'day all.
Our corner of the Murray-Mallee (in South Aus) got 27 mm of rain
yesterday. (About 1 sixth of our annual average total). When it had
faded to a faint drizzle I went out to see what was around. The most
notable thing was the variety of birds which were hawking above the
trees for flying insects. They included Aus. Magpies, Pied Butcherbirds,
Red Wattle Birds and White Plumed H/eaters.
Incidentally, Gluepot was mentioned on the Channel 9 weather report for
the most rain in a given period (I think. I didn't listen properly
until Keith Martin said bla bla bla "at Gluepot station". That might
delay grading of the roads, ready for Easter...
