Hi everyone
There was a message a few days ago from a company in NZ - the message
suggested that to avoid receiving any more emails from them it was
necessary to send a message with 'remove' in the subject line etc.
DON'T DO THIS!! I've added a filter that has successfully blocked
more of their mail - if you reply, it merely confirms your email
address as valid, and adds it to their database. This is only good
if you want more mail from them (and from others they share their
address lists with).
While I'm here I might as well add...
Please remember the 'code of conduct' which has kept birding-aus
standards so high (mostly!):
1. Don't send attachments to birding-aus
 2.	Don't include all of the previous message in a reply -just
whatever is necessary for clarity
3. Don't send messages of a purely commercial nature
4. Keep your language appropriate for a wide audience and stay on topic
5. Messages should be less than 20Kb in size
(that's about 12-15 onscreen pages of text, depending on your
browser etc)
Thanks, and now back to the bird topics....
