Just out of interest - there's a bird support worker (ie 
he looks after sick birds handed in via the bird support 
line) in Heidelburg who breeds Lorikeets. When I visited 
him last year he must have had at least 200 - 300 hundred 
Scaly-breasted. I also noted that there were a substantial 
number (50 - 100) outside his cages - which were escapees. 
(Sorry I can't suppliy more details). 
I have noticed a distinct increase in numbers around 
Northcote/Yarra Bend.
