If music be the food of life? is it any wonder that
all birds sing ....
Re: The little elusive fellow around my part of the
world that would sing the unusual/strange song and not
give himself away? I now tend to believe that some
person unknown to me has trained this Eastern Rosella?
Many thanks to those that offered help to audio catch
him, I refer not to the Eastern Rosella. I have a few
short bits of him on audio tape.
Wandering Hastings Township very early this am before
I try to get in and see my GP. I sat on the post,
outside the surgery in the sun, waiting to go in. When
I get thee most perfect rendition of "Colonel Boogie",
at first I thought it was my GP? whistling out from
his office window? nope? there not six feet away in a
shrub close to the surgery is the wicked, fooling,
dasterdly "Eastern Rosella" singing his song without
Glen Miller.
This is not the one I refered to in a previous email
as that is now confirmed as a being a black headed
cuckoo shrike ( I am told? ) you Ozzies must train
those at bay 13 of the MCG eh?
Oops looks like my Valium is wearing off, I go back to
mapping and shading.
What a wonderful world in which they sing.
