Cyclone Steve was not all bad news for the Atherton Tablelands.  At Lake Tinaroo on 28-29 April, situated  750 m asl and 35 km inland, six species of terns were present.  As well as the resident Caspian Terns, there were 2 Roseate, 3 Bridled, 1-2 Little, 12 Lesser Crested and over 10 Crested
