With the current level of flooding in central Australia has anyone given any
though as to how the bush birds cope with this? Pictures of flooding
between Broken Hill and Wilcannia, for example, show large areas with
nothing but the tree crowns exposed. Are there a lot of arboreal
fairy-wrens out there at the moment?

I also notice that Freckled Ducks have been seen at Newcastle. Is it to wet
out west for them?

Cheers
