Darwin mangroves

A little more information on my email of yesterday.

According to the President of Litchfield Shire (on the outskirts of
Darwin) 1/4 of the total catchment of Darwin Harbour is to be blocked.
As Darwin Harbour is bigger than Sydney Harbour that's a sizeable loss.
The Amateur Fishing Ass has joined forces with local government to fight
this proposal.

Top End mangroves quite possibly have the richest diversity of
specialised mangrove birds in the world. With these mangroves will go
much access to that habitat.
Regards
Denise Goodfellow
