Recent SOSSA banding forays at sea E of Bateman's Bay produced the
following intersting records

Monday 7-2-2000

South Polar Skua 1 (intermediate morph in heavy wing moult)
Sooty Tern 15+
Brown Noddy 1 juv.
Grey Ternlet 5

Pygmy Killer Whale 50+

Manta Ray 2

Saturday 12-2-2000

White-necked Petrel 1
Buller's Shearwater 1
Red-tailed Tropicbird 1 juv.
South Polar Skua 1 (intermediate morph in heavy wing moult)
Sooty Tern 7
Grey Ternlet 1

False Killer Whale 8

Striped Marlin 2

The amazing numbers of interesting seabirds in NSW waters continues (see
reports from Tony Palliser and Rod Gardner).  On Tuesday 8-2-2000 returning
from Brush Island to Ulladulla we recorded a Grey Ternlet (Blue-grey Noddy
is a much better name!) foraging about 1 NM SE of Ulladulla...... it was
coming your way Rod!!

We even managed to band some seabirds!!
