Hi All,

Was it only a week or so ago that I was gnashing my teeth, and wondering if
we would make the minimum number for the boat cruise?

The trip took place on Saturday in the Ferryman, bursting with the maximum
permissible load of 55. Whilst the odd shower passed over us, conditions
were generally great. I had a good time, and I think everyone else did,
too. Trevor Johns, skipper, runs a very good show.

I understand from Rob King that we managed to raise about $400 for the
court case. This came from the cruise tickets, the raffles and a couple of
generous donations from people who couldn't make it on the day. Thank you
so much to all of you on birding-aus who came to support us.

Cheers,

Jill

PS: That second bottle of red wine which was raffled- James said he thought
we still had a bottle at home. He has just pulled it out, and I looked for
the date....1973! (No, the one which was raffled was 1990.)
