Mechanical Sounds Australasian Gannets do a terrific clacking of beaks when returning to their mate on the nest, followed by a manouver that resembles Morris dancing, [ Morus Serrator dancing : ) ] in which they bang beaks together. White faced Heron makes a loud clack-clack as an alarm or defensive call. It sounds like a bill clack but not sure if it really is. Rifle Birds in courtship, beating wings together ? Rosella's flying into windows on overcast days?
