Watched a fantastic documentary called "Saving the Glossy Blacks" on channel 9, 7 pm Sunday (Sydney). It was based on the vulnerable Glossy Black Cockatoo population on Kangaroo Island in SA. It showed footage of a pair nesting in a man made nest box and later a nice young fledgling. After watching this show, one may never forget the distinctive call of the Glossy Black when encountering this beautiful cockatoo in the field.
