Congratulations on seeing a Red Goshawk on the far north coast. The
location that you saw the bird is in the general area that the birds are
known to occur. The last accepted record for the Red Goshawk by the NSW
Records Appraisal Committee was one in the  Burringbar Range on 22/9/93
(Aust. Birds 28, p134). While there may have been other records since, I
don't think that any have been referred to the NSWORAC since that time.
I am sure that Keith Brandwood, Secretary of the NSWORAC would be happy
to receive from you a submission, detailing your observation. His Email
