While playing golf at Gosford(Central coast NSW), my brother and I
noticed a Kookaburra on the ground with a relatively large flapping bird
in its beak. The Kookaburra(with great effort) flew into a nearby tree
where it proceeded to bash its victim against a branch.

The identification of the victim was not positive but it looked like an
adult Noisy Miner but a Spotted Turtledove may have been possible.
Whatever it was it was 1/2- 2/3 the size of the Kookaburra and was
certainly a big meal.
