Hi everybody -

I hope someone can help with three questions I have about events in the
history of the RAOU (Royal Australasian Ornithologists Union - the previous
name for Birds Australia). I am trying to chase up dates and venues for
such things as congresses and campouts and have looked through past issues
of EMU and the RAOU Newsletter, but there still a few gaps that somebody
may be able to fill (some of you may have attended one or more of these
events):

1. What were the venue and dates of the 1967 Campout? (The accompanying
Congress was held in Adelaide on 28 October).

2. Was there a Scientific Day in 1981, or was it replaced by the RAOU
Symposium (on 'Feeding Strategies of Australian Birds') of 14 May at the
51st ANZAAS Congress in Brisbane? (The usually-accompanying AGM was held
in Sydney on 16 May).

3. What were the dates and venue for the 1989 Campout? (The accompanying
Congress was held in Canberra on 22-24 September, in conjunction with the
first ARA (Australasian Raptor Association) conference).

Cheers,
Hugo
