birding-aus RE: twitchathon records

Hi All, 

We won in 1997 in NSW with the current record of 212 (assuming 
it was not broken this year), by heading up along the north coast. 
We were sponsered $10 per bird over 200 by the sceptics so it was 
quite enjoyable once 200 (and the old record) was overtaken.

I imagine that this sort of figure would be pretty ordinary by 
omparison to some Queensland (Republicland?  ;)  ) teams.
