I have a turned eye and cannot see through binoculars properly. Despite this
I still prefer binoculars over a monocular because of the stability factor.
I found holding a monocular with one hand to be quite unsteady, whereas
holding bins with two hands is much more stable. Try the monocular out for
steadiness and see how you go.

Birding-Aussies: There has ben a recent short thread on finding birds in
your binoculars and the difficulties caused by bifocal eyeglasses. I would
like to pose another question. Are there any strategies or pieces of
equipment which can be used by a monocular human birdo to enhance his
ability to find things with his binoculars. On top of the problem of
having sight in only one eye I wear trifocal eyeglasses. What do you
suggest? My current best idea is to separate the 2 halves of my bins and
share them with someone who is also monocular.
