 Highlights from twice-weekly Canberra Ornithologists' Group (COG) hotline,
for week ending 2 November (some reports are of earlier obs).

LATHAMS SNIPE   UP to 30 sunbathing at suburban Jerrabomberra Wetlands in
the mornings last week

INTERMEDIATE EGRET      28/10 Jerrabomberra, breeding plumage [this is
locally an uncommon visitor]

BUFF-BANDED RAIL        2/11 Jerrabomberra

BROWN QUAIL     19/10   in the centre of the Aust National Uni, by weedy
Sullivans 'Creek'

CUCKOOS all five regular local spp (Pallid, Fantailed, Brush, Horsefield's
and Shining Bronze) within 1.5k of the Mt Ainslie-Majura saddle one day last
week
