Greetings

At 0730h this morning a Channel-billed Cuckoo (which does not live in the
surrounding Savanna country) flew across at 40-50 m in a westerly
direction. This direction would take him from the rainforest in the
mountains to the closest part of New Guinea to the tip of Cape Yorke.

It was clear he was going to Australia, and he was telling the world with
quite a lot of calling.

My wife and I have looked all over the campus for Sacred Kingfishers each
day this week and found two four days ago, one three days ago and none
yesterday or today. You in Oz have them all coming your way.

Cheers

Mike
