At Munghorn Gap in the central tablelands of NSW we have over 30 years
of banding data on both superb and variegated wrens. Of interest is the
marked difference in retrap rates. Superb's are very frequently
retrapped with rates as high as 40%. However, retraps of variegated are
very infrequent to rare. 
While there is no clear reason why this should be so, one theory is that
superb's are very sedentary whereas variegated's could almost be
considered to be nomads with no clearly defined home range.
