Edwin, Mulgoa Nature Reserve is a recent gazettal, adjacent to Glenmore Park
Estate, and currently infested with lantana, cats, trail bikers, but the
NPWS are working on it , slowly but surely with limited funds. I have done a
few surveys there, nothing spectacular to date, but ultimately it could
support some of the old Western Sydney birds like Southern Whiteface,
Speckled Warbler, Red-capped Robin.It does have lots of  Bell Miners, Pink
Robins in Winter, Satin Bowerbirds ,Southern Yellow Robins,Sitellas,
Treecreepers, Rosellas, King Parrots, Scrubwrens(Whitebrowed) and casuals
from across Mulgoa Rd. where the Blue Mountains NP starts. It is Shale .
Cats are the main problem, and foxes, but in time can be controlled.
There is a creek and a dam, all terribly polluted from an upstream tip, no
wetland, which is on my place .
               There was a Blackfronted Dottrel on the low bank damming the
wetland this morning, the first I have seen in the Valley for many years.
