Homebush Bay Bird Monitoring Project

Since 1995, Birds Australia (southern NSW and ACT Group) has been commissioned by the Olympic Co-ordination Authority (OCA) to monitor the bird communities at the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games site, Homebush Bay. The aims of the project are to assess the impacts of development associated with the Olympic Games on the bird communities of the Homebush Bay region.

More volunteer observers with good skills in identifying birds from sight and calls are urgently required to participate in monthly bird surveys.  Observers must have their own binoculars and transport to the site.  This is a great opportunity to become involved in a unique conservation project.

We require YOUR help!
