Hmmm. You couldn't use a scanner. That wouldn't work.

A megapixel digital camera on a tripod on a circular track would be an
excellent start. You need to be able to pan to get the panoramic effect,
and you might need to zoom as well. Or you might need to develop a track
around the "object" so that you can get the views from all sides. When you
have taken many multiple images, they are assembled using either QuickTime
VR (QTVR) or VRML (Virtual Reality Markup Language) if you want to use your
3D graphics in your web-pages.

For an idea of how it will look, visit: (only if you have LOTS of time)

Taste is more difficult to achieve.

If your QTVR was made during the production process for the "object" (that
is, while it was being cooked), then you could sample the flavour through
its smell. This is now possible over the web, with the recent development
of RealAroma(tm):

by the guys at Real. Their registered comment "It wasn't the dog."(R) is
probably a veiled reference (well, not too veiled) to Luther.

As for Fly Buys, it's more like the 1975 film:

Have fun
