A Cape Petrel (Daption capensis) was seen off Myrmidon reef NE of
Townsville (18* 16.0'S 147* 22.7E) by Patric Centurino, Qld Marine Parks
ranger on 14/7/99. 

This is well north of its previous recorded sighting. The bird settled on
the water a few metres from the Marine Parks vessel and was photographed.  

I have scanned the photo and will send it as an attachment on request (but
not to birding-aus, Russell, I promise)
