Read a report in the paper last week about the decline of Cassowaries in
Cairns. Apparently down from a few dozen to only a couple of individuals in
just a very few short years. Does anyone now the real story here? What is
the cause of the decline? More clearing? Road kills? Do dogs and cats get
the young?

Sean Pywell.
