Interesting article in today's Bulletin magazine regarding Blue Whales off Victoria. Seems the professional whale researchers have recently "discovererd' them in the waters of Western Victoria, ie Portland since 1995.Apparently they don't realise birders have been seeing these whales at Portland for about the past 15 years.
