Damian Hackett's response to the W-h Pigeons and camphor laurel fruit was certainly a revelation to me - just goes to show that we can never know everything about birds - even pigeons! Having visited the Ballina-Lismore region almost annually for years now, I know the locals blame the White-headeds for spreading the camphor laurels throughout the far north coast of NSW - I had felt that the currawongs were more likely to be the culprit but Damian's note has thrown new light on the matter.
