It probably doesn't shed more light on the issue but the following was
printed in "The Australian" from yesterday (14/07/99):
Wildlife experts yesterday urged people living near Victoria's south-west
coast to look out for examples of what could be one of the world's rarest
penguins. The alert comes after one of the penguins was found recently near
Moonlight Head, near Cape Otway, on the south-west coast. The bird, found by
a resident, was identified as a fiordland penguin <snip>.
