I have just been informed that Regent Honeyeaters have been located near
Putty. The person who saw them didn't have a lot of time to spend at the
site but saw at least six fly across the road and could hear more up the
gully.

If anyone is able to get out there and spend a bit of time giving the area
a thorough searching please get in touch for further information about
where to find them. The birds are on private property but permission can
be obtained for those wishing to assist. I am, however, reluctant to have
too many people going up there, wandering over the place and upsetting the
locals just for the sake of a tick (this sort of thing has happened in the
past).

Cheers
