It seems that this one has managed to offend just about everyone, and
for impuning your altruism I apologise unreservedly. My point was
simply that I thought people should keep it in perspective, and I
thought the reaction had something of the 'Ray Martin' touch about it
(ie. a beat-up; & that offended me). The most dangerous animal in the
Australian bush is, contrary to all other reports, Homo sapiens. Having
said that though, I don't want to see people cowering in their
loungerooms rather than taking to the countryside (with risks assessed &
counted for).
At the risk of turning Birding-Aus into rec.minority.lifestyles - I
think this discussion should end soon (if not right away).
