Just had to tell someone, or lots of people, that I saw 13 superb
lyrebirds in the Tarra-Bulga National Park area (in Gippsland Vic.,
approx. 200 km south-east of Melbourne) today. It was raining all day
which must have been to their liking. All but 2 were male. Where are
all the females?
Those that I saw when I was on foot ignored me and went on with their
foraging and singing and mimicry in full view. Truly wonderful!
