Re Treated pine in nest boxes.
I wouldn't use treated pine if I were you. I believe it is not approved
for kindergarten play equipment, and children chew wood a lot less than
parrots do. Latrobe Uni Wildlife Reserve build and sell nestboxes made
from plantation-grown pine plywood. They are painted with non-toxic
