If anyone in the SEQld region is interested, there is a congregation of
White-winged Black Terns on the Caloundra sandbanks at present, as is usual
at this time of year.

Yesterday we saw about 150, most of which were in advanced stages of
breeding plumage. A wonderful sight. Also present were Littles, Cresteds
and Commons. You need to go on a lowish tide for the banks to be exposed.
And you need a scope.

Cheers,

Jill
