A friend with no computer access has asked me  if birding-aus members 
could help him with his forthcoming trip as follows:-
"My wife and I are leaving in April for an outback birdwatching trip 
across Australia from Byron Bay on the east coast to Steep Point on the 
west coast near Shark Bay for 5-6 months.   Enroute we will visit the 
following places:
Goondiwindi, St. George, Cunnamulla, Thargomindah, Innaminka, Lyndhurst 
via the Strzelecki Track, Marree, Oodnadatta, Ayres Rock, Warburton, 
Leonora, Wiluna, Mount Magnet, Geraldton, Houtman Abrollos Islands, 
Meekatharra, Newman, The Pilbara, Port Headland, Broome, Derby, Gibb 
River Road, Kunanurra, Halls Creek, the Tanami Desert to Alice Springs.   
Across the Simpson Desert via the Plenty Highway to Boulia, Mt. Isa, 
then to Townsville via Flinders Highway and down the eastern seaboard 
home to the Gold Coast in October l999.
We would greatly appreciate any information on the latest whereabouts of 
the following 38 bird species:
Rufous Scrubwren                         Princess Parrot
Red-lored Whistler                       Scarlet-chested Parrot
Grey Honeyeater                          Rufous Owl
Chestnut-breasted Whiteface              Marbled Frogmouth
Yellow Chat                              Barn Swallow
