Hallo to all,
Anyone who will be in or planning to visit the Broome,
Western Australia, area during late March/April, should not miss the
opportunity to join one of the "Wave the Waders Goodbye" courses being
conducted by the Broome Bird Observatory.

All aspects of Wader ID, biology and conservation are covered along with
visits to the top birding sites around Broome.
There are some vacancies on both of the courses at the moment.

The first course runs from 28th March to 2nd April and the second commences
on the 12th April and finishes on the 17th April.

Participants will have the opportunity to witness the spectacular departure
of shorebirds in all their breeding plumage finery as they fly out on their
annual migration to their Arctic Circle breeding grounds in the Northern
Hemisphere a journey of some 10,000 kilometres.

For further information contact the BBO on tel. 61 08 9193 5600, fax 61 08
9192 3364 or email

The Broome Bird Observatory is a self funded, not for profit, educational,
research and conservation facility run by Birds Australia.
